Benton Habitat for Humanity is seeking some additional volunteers to come on board our Post-Closing Committee. This is a great group and extremely important in the process of getting our partner families into homes. Below is a description of the work the committee does.
Benton Habitat for Humanity aims not just to ensure families have access to decent and affordable homes but also the skills and resources needed to maintain it. Assist staff and volunteers in ensuring the long-term success of our families following moving-into their homes by becoming a part of Benton Habitats Post-Closing Committee.
BHFH’s post-closing committee offers support to our families through Partner family events, resource acquisition, and Post-Closing Mentoring programs. For anyone interested in working directly with our families to provide these services, the post-closing committee is a great opportunity to do so. It provides the chance to engage with all of the outlined programs as well as work with a small dedicated group to collaborate and come up with ideas that will benefit Habitat families and homeowners in general.
If you’re interested in getting involved with Benton Habitat for Humanity the Post-Closing Committee, provides a flexible and small time commitment opportunity, meeting once a month for an hour to discuss programs and plan upcoming opportunities. Additionally Committee members have the opportunity and are encouraged to attend the events we plan and be involved with Benton Habitat as much as they choose.
